General Membership Meeting - Guest Speaker, Dan Shannon of Chapel Hill Magazine

Join us on Monday, November 13, 2006, at 7pm at the Chamber of Commerce on S. Estes Drive to hear Dan Shannon, creator of Chapel Hill Magazine talk about how he got into business for himself. If you're looking to join the Jaycees, this is a GREAT opportunity to come out and see what we're all about (trust us, it's more than the Hokey Pokey!). Cuisine Night/RSVVP Night at The Loop
Date & Time: Tuesday, November 14, 7pm
RSVVP (Restaurants Sharing V(5)+V(5) Percent) is a day that benefits the InterFaith Council (IFC) in Carrboro. The IFC is the food bank in the Chapel Hill Area. Many restaurants participate in this day by donating 10% of all of their profits from this day to the IFC. We will be going to The Loop in Eastgate Plaza. Meet us at 7pm and enjoy dinner with friends while helping out the IFC. If you plan to attend, please e-mail Joe Beal at mblank@joimail.com. Chamber of Commerce's Business After Hours at The Carolina Inn
Date & Time: Thursday, November 16, 5:30-7pm
Business After Hours is an excellent opportunity to network with other professionals in the Chapel Hill area. This After Hours is the largest one during the year and is put on at the Carolina Inn. It's mission is to secure financial and community resources to provide comprehensive, family-centered healthcare for the Children of North Carolina and surrounding areas, regardless of their ability to pay. 2006 Chapel Hill Carrboro Holiday Parade Committee
Interested in helping out the 2007 Holiday Parade Committee? Please contact Mark Patterson at mpatters97@gmail.com. They are looking for people to help before the parade and the day of the parade. We will help with entering information into a database, organizing all of the entries that we have, and on the day of the parade, be the man & woman power making sure the parade goes off without a hitch. The Committee has been working very hard since early this year and is now in need of getting the rest of the chapter involved. Any time you can give is appreciated!
