Boys Home Stuff Drive
Date & Time: Now through November 1

We are in the final month for the Lake Waccamaw Boys & Girls Home Stuff Drive!!!  So far, we've had some really great donations, but there's still plenty more items on the list that they need!  Take a look around your house and see what you have to donate - just think about the many smiles you will put on the boys' faces!  Also, the Seeds of Change bucket is back by popular demand at all General Membership Meetings until November 1st.  If you don't want to purchase something for the boys, please feel free to donate that loose change from around the house, car, or even what was in your wallet/pocket/purse from the day!  It's not often that these kids get new things that aren't second hand, so we're going to buy them brand new items with the money you donate.  Last, but certainly not least, we'll be visiting the Boys Home on Saturday, November 4th, so mark your calendar!  We'll be bringing lunch to them and playing board games (unless it's nice enough to be outside!).  Plus, we'll need some help bringing the donations to the cottage.  If you're interested in donating items or attending the Cottage visit (or Both!) e-mail Kristi Baleno at CommunityDevelopmentVP@chapelhilljaycees.org

Here's the Wish List that the NC Jaycees are trying to fulfill.  These items are essential to making life at the Jaycees Cottage better!  Check around your house to see what you might have to offer!

News and Notes

2007 Board Elections

That's right, it's almost time for our 2007 Board Elections!  Nominations will for all 8 positions (President, Management Vice President, Membership Vice President, Community Development Vice President, Individual Development Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, & State Director) are due to Christina Jaromin by midnight on Monday, October 16th.  If you are interested in a Board Position next year, please contact Christina at President@chapelhilljaycees.org.  She would be happy to discuss with you the positions, what's asked of the Officers, and how rewarding all of the positions can be!

2007 Chapel Hill Carrboro Holiday Parade Committee

Interested in helping out the 2007 Holiday Parade Committee?  Please contact Mark Patterson at mpatters97@gmail.com.  They are looking for people to help before the parade and the day of the parade.  We will help with entering information into a database, organizing all of the entries that we have, and on the day of the parade, be the man & woman power making sure the parade goes off without a hitch.  The Committee has been working very hard since early this year and is now in need of getting the rest of the chapter involved.  Any time you can give is appreciated!
