Durham Bulls FUNdraiser
Date & Time: Sunday, June 11, 3:30-7pm
It's time for one of our biggest fundraisers of the summer - selling beer at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. We are still in need of 4 more volunteers for the game this afternoon. It is a lot of fun, and you get to keep tips! All profits from this game will benefit the NC Jaycees Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center. If you are able to help us out, please e-mail Peter DeStaebler at CommunityDevelopmentVP@chapelhilljaycees.org.
General Membership Meeting
Date & Time: Monday, June 12, 7pm
Our next General Membership Meeting will be on Monday, June 12 at 7pm at the Chamber of Commerce on S. Estes Drive. Individual Development Vice President Tim Miller will be presenting How to Chair a Successful Project. Considering joining the Jaycees? Why not come out and see what we're all about (and it's more than the Hokey Pokey!). Please e-mail Melissa Feder at MembershipVP@chapelhilljaycees.org for more information.
Business After Hours - Performance Auto Mall
Date & Time: Thursday, June 15, 5:30-7pm
The Chamber of Commerce is having their monthly Business After Hours on Thursday, June 15, at Performance Auto Mall on N. Fordham Blvd. There will be networking opportunities as well as light refreshments. If you would like more information, please contact Christina Jaromin at President@chapelhilljaycees.org.

News and Notes
Happy Notes :)
Happy Birthday to Sharon Worthington, 6/13
Congratulations!
Congratulations to Tim Miller who was awarded the 2006 Franciscan Teaching Award for Immaculata Catholic

PRIME Training in Hickory
PRIME is the first level training course for Junior Chamber International coaches. This two day course is a practical guide to implementing sound personal and leadership development programs to create positive change. PRIME is designed to present new and interesting challenges to members who have little or no experience in training and coaching, but who want to develop coaching skills for use in our chapters, community, and workplace. PRIME increases one's confidence in presenting complex information in an understandable and interesting way, and increases one's ability to motivate others. Additionally, it increases communication and organizational skills, and assists us in looking at new situations with an open and positive mind. JCI International Coach Suzette Plaisted will be training this excellent course. If you are interested in more information, Kendra Fuller, Christina Jaromin, Amber Neill, Kim Winson, & Sharon Worthington have all been through PRIME (Kendra, Christina, & Kim did it last year with Suzette!) and they would all be more than willing to give you more of an overview. The cost is $75, but if you are willing to tell the Chapel Hill Jaycees about what you learned, we're willing to give you $25 toward your registration fee. Please e-mail Tim Miller at IndividualDevelopmentVP@chapelhilljaycees.org for more information.
Something to Write About?
Is there something that you think the Chapel Hill Jaycees are doing that is unique that the rest of the North Carolina Jaycees would benefit from knowing about? What about a past project that you think we did so well, we need to brag about it? If you are interested in writing an article (350 words or less) for the upcoming NC Jaycee Monthly, please contact Christina Jaromin at President@chapelhilljaycees.org or Todd Dawson at StateDirector@chapelhilljaycees.org. Deadline for articles is Friday, May 19.
