Interested in learning what the Board has planned for the upcoming months?  Feel free to come to our Monthly Board Meeting on Tuesday, May 2nd and ask questions!  If you plan to attend and need directions, please e-mail Christina Jaromin at burrchillies@yahoo.com.

Cooking Dinner at Ronald McDonald House
Date & Time: Thursday, May 4, 5:30-7pm

It's time to grill burgers and dogs at Ronald McDonald House.  If you are interested in helping out, please e-mail Kristi Baleno at kbaleno@unch.unc.edu.  We'd love to have you!  We will also be enjoying adult beverages at a local restaurant after we are done.

Business Before Hours at Aurora Restaurant
Date & Time: Friday, May 5, 7:30-9am
Come to Aurora Restaurant for networking and refreshments before you head to work on Friday morning.  If you are interested in attending, please e-mail Tracy Hager at the Chamber at thager@carolinachamber.org.

Brookhill Steeplechase - Helping the Raleigh Jaycees
Date & Time: Saturday, May 6, 8am-12noon

On Saturday, May 6, we have been asked to go out to Brookhill Farm with the Raleigh Jaycees and assist them with the 14th Annual Brookhill Steeplechase.  You'll get breakfast, lunch, and dinner if you stay that long, and you'll also get a FREE T-shirt.  Everyone loves a FREE T-shirt! This is the only national horse race that is 100% run by volunteers, and that is
a huge feat.  If you are interested in helping out one of our neighborhood chapters, please e-mail Charles Krupinski at cekrup@nc.rr.com.  If you are interested in carpooling to the farm, please contact Christina Jaromin at burrchillies@yahoo.com.

Durham Bulls FUNdraiser
Date & Time: Sunday, May 7, 3-7pm

One of our most successful fundraisers during the year is working a beer cart at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.  Our first game will be on Sunday, May 7, from 3-7pm.  We really need your help, as this is how we are able to run projects like Ronald McDonald House and bringing up the boys from the Lake Waccamaw Boys & Girls Homes.  This year we are doing something a little different with the monies we raise.  Each game will have a different charity that the funds will go toward.  Our first game will benefit the NC Jaycees Burn Center right here at UNC Hospitals.  If you are able to help, please e-mail Christina Jaromin at burrchillies@yahoo.com

NC Jaycees Awards Convention in Raleigh
Date & Time: Friday-Sunday, May 19-21

Many people have asked what it is like to go to a convention.  Now is the perfect time to find out first hand!  If you are interested in attending convention, please e-mail Christina Jaromin at burrchillies@yahoo.com.  Early registration (which is only $55 for the entire weekend!) must be postmarked by Monday, May 1.  If you are interested in only attending certain parts of the weekend, they have individual pricing for each event.  Also, since the convention is at the Brownstone Hotel on Hillsborough Street in Raleigh, you won't even need to get a hotel room!

Guests are welcome to all of our events and meetings.
