This Week in Jaycees
Events
General Membership Meeting
Date: Monday, February 13 at 7pm
Come to the meeting on Monday to hear about Recycling in the Triangle. Why do you have to separate the colors of glass? Why can't glossy paper go in with newspaper? Karen Pulse of the Cary Jaycees will tell us all she knows!
Business After Hours
Date: Thursday, February 16 from 5:30-7pm
Have you been wanting to meet more business people in the community? Come to Business After Hours, presented by the Chamber of Commerce. This month we will be at The ArtsCenter in Carrboro. If you're interested in attending, please e-mail Christina Jaromin at president@chapelhilljaycees.org for more information.
ACHIEVE Training
Date: Saturday, February 25 from 9am-8pm
ACHIEVE Training is a training which will help you in your job as well as being a better Jaycee. ACHIEVE blends theory and practice to teach the mechanics of managing a Junior Chamber chapter. ACHIEVE examines the non-profit world, the definition of success, branding, target markets, recruitment and retention, and a host of other day-to-day operational aspects on which we need to focus to have a strong chapter. ACHIEVE helps members understand the dynamics between different target markets and the existing membership base. Learn to strategically develop chapter programming that is relevant to members needs. The cost is $35, but will be only $15 for Chapel Hill members. Not sure if this is something you're interested in? Sharon Worthington and Christina Jaromin have been through the whole training program and Melissa Feder and Tim Miller have done an abbreviated version of the course and would be happy to share their experiences with you. If you would like more information about ACHIEVE, contact Tim Miller at individualdevelopmentvp@chapelhilljaycees.org.
Guests are welcome to all of our events and meetings.
