Events
Meeting Reminder
Date: TONIGHT! Monday, 11/14
Time: 7p-8p
Monday at
our meeting Steve Volstad will be speaking to us. He is the
Marketing Director for UNC-TV. His topic is an overview of
UNC-TV. We do volunteer for the pledge drive there, so this is an
opportunity for us all to learn more about the station. We look
forward to seeing everyone there. As always, we'll be sharing
information about our upcoming events.
R.S.V.V.P. @ Akai Hana
Date: Tuesday, 11/15
Time: 7:30p-9:30p
It's about time for a Random Sushi Night, and what better time to do so then on
R.S.V.V.P. Night, when 10% of the days profits go toward feeding the hungry in
the Triangle (www.rsvvp.org). We'll be going to Akai Hana on
Tuesday, November 15th at 7pm for Random Sushi and R.S.V.V.P. all in one. PLEASE e-mail Christina Jaromin at burrchillies@yahoo.com if you plan
to attend. They can be quite tough on us if we don't call in advance to let
them know we're coming. Also, BRING CASH, because they don't always separate
the check for us, and on a night when it is sure to be busy, I doubt that
they'll separate it for us.
NC Children's Hospital Radiothon
Date: Thursday, 11/17
Time: 5a-12 midnight
Our thanks go out to all of who you have marked your calendars
and prepared to volunteer your time for this year's radiothon/telethon. Your
support has been integral in the past and without your commitment we could not
have made such a big impact on the programs and services in the N.C. Children's
Hospital. It's a lot of fun and we look forward to seeing you Nov. 17. Now two
weeks away from the event, a number of volunteer spots remain open. If you have
not yet volunteered your time, please let us know at the earliest opportunity.
And if you are aware of a friend or colleague who might be interested in
pitching in for a couple hours, please encourage them to contact us. Shifts
normally last for a two-hour time period, but we can be flexible as needed. As
of now, we still need volunteers for the following shifts: 5:00 a.m. - 7:00 a.m.
