Light refreshements, networking, & fun.  Bank of America is hosting this month's First Friday.  It is located at 137 E. Franklin St. Chapel Hill, NC.  Don't forget your business cards!

It's (gonna be) a Girl!: Baby Shower for the Fullers

We're going to celebrate the newest arrival to the Jaycees' family, Baby Girl Fuller, expected DOB is January, 2006. Everyone is welcome to come to the baby shower, at Chili's on 15-501, Durham. Bring good cheer and a gift :) The theme for the nursery is going to be Lady Bugs. Colors will be Red, Sage, Pale Yellow. The Fullers have a baby gift registry at JCPenny.com and BabyDepot.com. RSVP by Nov. 3 to Kim Winson.

Happy Hour @ Lucy's

Held the second Friday of each month, the Happy Hour is a social event for chapter members. Prospective members are also invited to attend and meet the members in a relaxed, social setting.  Lucy's is located at the corner of Henderson and Rosemary, in Chapel Hill.  Contact Tim Miller for more information. 

Fast Start 2006

Time: 9a-3p

Free training for new members, existing members, and new officers held at the Jaycee HQ in Asheboro.  All are invited.  A carpool will probably be planned. Lunch is provided. Deadline for sign-up Thursday, November 10th, email Amber Neill.

News and Notes

Durham Jaycees Haunted House
On Halloween, I (Kim Winson) will be lending a hand at the Durham Jaycees Haunted House. Anyone is welcome to come with me. There are a variety of jobs they need help with, from taking tickets to scaring the "victims." Their haunted house occupies the Durham Bulls Athletic Park; volunteers need to be at the DBAP by 6pm. Send me an email if you're interested in helping me helping them...We can carpool over to the DBAP from my apartment.
