Jaycees Burn Center Reunion
Date: Saturday, 10/29
Time: 11a-4p

Here is a chance to quite possibley save a life! This Saturday, Oct 29th, we will be helping the Chapel Hill Firefighters with fire safety. We will be helping them sell t-shirts, demonstrating fire safety techniques and equipment, as well as helping out in a mock-simulation burning house. It will run from 11am to approximately 4pm. It will be held at the Hendrick Center, right off of 54. If we get enough people, we may be able to have shifts. Contact Tim Miller for details.

Book Club: A Confederacy of Dunces

It's (gonna be) a Girl!: Baby Shower for the Fullers
Date: Saturday, 11/05
Time: 6p-8p

We're going to celebrate the newest arrival to the Jaycees' family, Baby Girl Fuller, expected DOB is January, 2006. Everyone is welcome to come to the baby shower, at Chili's on 15-501, Durham.  Bring good cheer and a gift :) The theme for the nursery is going to be Lady Bugs. Colors will be Red, Sage, Pale Yellow. The Fullers have a baby gift registry at JCPenny.com and BabyDepot.com.  RSVP by Nov. 3 to Kim Winson.

News and Notes

Durham Jaycees Haunted House
On Halloween, I (Kim Winson) will be lending a hand at the Durham Jaycees Haunted House.  Anyone is welcome to come with me.  There are a variety of jobs they need help with, from taking tickets to scaring the "victims."  Their haunted house occupies the Durham Bulls Athletic Park; volunteers need to be at the DBAP by 6pm.  Send me an email if you're interested in helping me helping them...We can carpool over to the DBAP from my apartment.

Ronald McDonald House Wrap Up
A special thanks to Kristi Baleno, Krista Anderson (sp), Christina Jaromin, Joe Beal, Jill, Kim Winson, James January, Todd Dawson, and Peter DeStaebler for another successful Ronald McDonald House dinner last wekk.  A reminder that we will be cooking dinner and decorating the House for Christmas on Thursday, December 1st.
