News and Notes
Donation to the Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center
As many of you
know, the NC Jaycees will be having their Executive Committee Meeting
at the Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center (DCCC) on Saturday, August
20th. In preparation for this, the Chapel Hill Jaycees did a rousing
job by collecting money for the DCCC via the Seeds of Change (remember
the flowerpot?). We were able to raise $65.96, which will be matched by
the Chapel Hill Jaycees treasury, for a total of ~$132!! Thanks to everyone who donated their pocket change, and more, in order to support the cause!
Birthday Party! The
Chapel Hill Jaycees are turning three next month! On Sept. 20th, come

Charity Tuesday Update Charity Tuesday is a fundraising event sponsored by Top of the Hill
restaurant, in conjunction with the Jaycees. On a specified Tuesday, a
portion of the sales from certain drinks (alcoholic and non-) are
donated to the future Chapel Hill Carrboro Children's Museum, which is in the process of forming. Check out this site to see what the buzz is about, no pun intended. Many thanks to Sara Hogan, who is the chairperson for this project.
Happy Birthday...
