News and Notes
Jaycee "Slang" Do you sometimes get a little lost in the Jaycee jargon? Not sure what it means when the meeting agenda has "individual development" on it? You're not alone. The Documents section of the website has definitions of the more commonly used Jaycee "slang" to clear the confusion. Click here to pull it up.
Mark your Calendars On Saturday, July 30th, we'll be Tubing on the Dan River. Click here to see the calendar. More information will be forthcoming, but put the date on your calendar!
Thanks for Your Help! A BIG THANK YOU goes out to everyone who volunteered at the Membership Cook-Out at the Southern Village Apartments. In absolutely no particular order, we'd like to thank:
Melissa & Stephen Brumback Tim Miller Joe Beal Kim Winson Brody Underhill Kendra Fuller Amber Neill Peter DeStaebler Todd Dawson Christina Jaromin Sara from the Cary Jaycees
Thanks so much for your cooking skills and everything you all did for the cook-out! Chapel Hill rocks :)
Seeds of Change That's right, you remember the Seeds of Change. We did it earlier in the year for the NC Jaycees Boy's Home. This time around, we'll be doing it for the Duke Cancer Center. It will be a much abridged version, as it will run from June 13-August 8, and the Chapel Hill Jaycees treasury will be matching whatever it is we manage to raise. Please bring your pocket change to the next meeting and drop it in the flower pot. Please contact Christina Jaromin or Brody Underhill (619-5413) with questions.
July Board Meeting... The July Board meeting is canceled due to schedule conflicts. The next Board meeting will be in August. We apologize for any inconvenience.
New Pics There are new pictures on the website: the Postal Workers'-Interfaith Council Food Drive and photos from the last General Membership Meeting, when Tom Lamont was our guest speaker. Mr. Lamont is with the Lake Waccamaw Boys' Home, one of the priority charities of the NC Jaycees.
