Southern Village Membership Cookout!!!

Calling all Chapel Hill Jaycees!!! Come out to Southern Village Apartments Swimming Pool for our Membership drive cookout. We will be cooking burgers and dogs for the residents of Southern Village. Your help and participation are strongly encouraged and will be greatly appreciated!!! This event will give our group a great opportunity to grow as well as gain recognition in the community. Drag Bingo!
Date: Friday, June 24th
Time: 8pm
On Friday, June 24th, we'll be heading down to the Durham Armory for a rousing game of Drag Bingo (www.dragbingo.com)! "While we know BINGO is a stupid game," we'll be playing for the Alliance of AIDS Services - Carolina. And really, when you're playing Bingo with Drag Queens, can it be that bad? Please contact Christina Jaromin at burrchillies@yahoo.com if you plan to attend. We'll be carpooling from Chapel Hill since parking across from the Armory is $2/car,
and carpooling is environmentally friendly! Tickets are $15 in advance, $17 at the door.
Durham Bulls Games - Summer FUNdraiser
There are only 4 more dates left for our summer fundraiser at the Durham Bulls games! We will be running a beer cart on Thurs. 6/30, and Thurs. 8/11. We need 5-6 people for both of these dates. We are also working at First Base Hits concession stand on Fri. 7/15 and Sun. 8/28. We need 1 2-14 people for each of these dates. Volunteers get to keep an equal portion of whatever tips we make (that means $$$ in your pocket!), get a coupon for a free meal , and even have an opportunity to watch parts of the game! Last game, we collected about $95 in tips and we made around $300 for our Chapter! Our website calendar contains information on times for these games. Seeds of Change
That's right, you remember the Seeds of Change. We did it earlier in the year for the NC Jaycees Boy's Home. This time around, we'll be doing it for the Duke Cancer Center. It will be a much abridged version, as it will run from June 13-August 8, and the Chapel Hill Jaycees treasury will be matching whatever it is we manage to raise. Please bring your pocket change to the next meeting and drop it in the flower pot. Please contact Christina Jaromin or Brody Underhill (619-5413) with questions.
