News from the Yard Sale The Yard Sale was last Saturday and it was a tremendous success!! We grossed $1000, nearly double the money from the last yard sale!! Go us! The money will fund our monthly community service projects. These include Ronald McDonald House and Plant the planter. In keeping with our goals, a special donation of $250 will be given to the NC Jaycees Burn Center. The rest of the money will go into the "pot" to support future projects--including membership outreach efforts. A special thank-you to all who helped is below.
We couldn't have done it without you! The Yard Sale's success relied on the time, legwork, and committment from several members. We Thank you all for your efforts! The efforts included: pricing the items, flyer distribution, donation pick-up, and much, much more. For all of that, our thanks go out to (in alphabetical order):

News and Notes
The Final Ask As many of you know, we have had the ongoing fundraiser for the NC Jaycees Boys Home, the Seeds of Change. This Monday, May 9th, at our membership meeting, will be our last push for your pocket change. We would like to have enough money to help buy the boys towels and bath items. Please bring your spare change (or whatever you'd like to contribute) to the meeting so that we can make the boys have a great month. For more information about the NC Jaycee Boys Home or about the Seeds of Change, e-mail Christina Jaromin.
Open Board Meetings Did you know that the Board meetings are open to all members? For instance, you can find out what the Management VP does. The Board meets the first Tuesday, every month. Our next meeting is June 7th. Click here for more information.
Plant the Planter
We will postpone planting our planter at the corner of Franklin & Columbia Streets. Watch your e-mail for an update!
Random Sushi - Another Success! For those of you who weren't at Akai Hana last Monday night, you missed a great time! We hope you'll be able to join us for another Random Sushi Night in the near future!
